Former NASCAR Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick's sponsor in the highest echelon of the sport, the popular orange drink SunnyD, is set to return to the field this season. The drink developed in 1963 by Doric Foods is all set to sponsor full-time Cup Series debutant Josh Berry on various occasions throughout his first season in the big leagues.

Graduating from a full-time ride in the Xfinity Series with Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports team, Josh Berry will be seen representing the SunnyD colors on his #4 Ford Mustang this season.

Part of the Harvest Hill Beverage Company, SunnyD will be seen sponsoring Berry during the season-opening Daytona 500, as well as the exhibition-style Busch Light Clash, which will be preceding the regular season opener at the tri-oval.

While Josh Berry will be driving a SunnyD-sponsored car, Kevin Harvick will be looking on from the FOX Sports booth, commentating on the event after announcing his retirement from the sport last year.

The 2024 season will be the brand's ninth consecutive season in the sport, previously seen on cars driven by drivers such as Kevin Harvick and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Josh Berry spoke on his alliance with a brand that has been aligned with his new team Stewart-Haas Racing previously as well and told jayski.com:

“It’s a privilege to drive the No. 4 Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas and to represent an existing partner in SUNNYD, which brings an added sense of pride. It’s an excellent opportunity and I’m incredibly grateful for it.”

The 2024 Daytona 500 is scheduled to go live next month on February 18, 2024, at 2:30 pm ET.

Kevin Harvick's grassroots racing series expands operations

The zMAX CARS Tour, a Pro Late Model racing series co-owned by Kevin Harvick recently announced an addition of 10 new races to its calendar on the west coast of the country.

Known as simply the CARS Tour before zMAX joined in as title sponsor, the grassroots racing series will be capturing many more eyeballs in the racing scene this year in 2024.

Popular grassroots racing streaming outfit Floracing has also jumped on board to stream the events online, with locations featuring several tracks across the state of California.

Speaking on the expansion, Kevin Harvick told carsracingtour.com:

"The West Coast is home for me and the tracks we’ll be going to this year with the zMAX CARS Tour Pro Late Model Series West are some of the ones that helped shape the path of my career."

The first event on the West Coast swing takes place at Harvick's Kern Raceway in Bakersfield, California.
