Kyle Busch called out seven-time Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson for indirectly interfering with other drivers' lifestyles.

JR Motorsports driver Dale Earnhard Jr. earlier talked on a podcast regarding the changes he had to bring to his lifestyle because of Jimmie Johnson's presence. People in his team told him that Jimmie was in much better shape than him, following which he made some major changes in his routine, and started working out more intensely.

"Some of the people in the building were like, you know, you're not as, you know, Jimmie's in great shape. Look at what he does. You should be doing these things. And I'm like, Jimmie's Jimmie. But okay, you know, I'm gonna work out. I'll do better. I'm gonna, I'm gonna lose some weight. I'm gonna work out."

Ironically enough, he revealed that his results on the track did not change.

"And the results didn't change for me."

Richard Childress driver Kyle Busch shared a similar outlook regarding Jimmie Johnson. He stated that his team too put pressure on him to lose weight and start working out more intensely and bring changes in his lifestyle as well. He said on the Pat McAfee Show:

"Jimmie ruined it for a lot of us, Dale isn't the only one that had the Jimmie Johnson factor that came upon him. For me too, I got yelled at by my crew chief that I'm getting a little chunky, a little heavy, and all that, you know. He was like 'You need to workout, you need to eat better, you need to sleep more,' and I was like, okay, sure, great. Whatever."

Kyle Busch further revealed that his results did not change despite the hard work he did upon himself. He felt that the most crucial part of changing results is having a strong car.

Kyle Busch believes you need a strong car to achieve better results, "Jimmie was always in a fast car"

Taking the discussion of having a strictly healthy lifestyle, Kyle Busch stated that despite working out excessively for six months and losing excess weight, his results did not change.

"I spent, I don't know, six months in the gym and working out slim down and lost some pounds and whatnot. The results didn't change. Nothing happened."

Further, he revealed that the most important aspect of winning a race depends on the type of car the driver has. He also added that Jimmie Johnson always had a fast car, and it was just paired with having a healthy lifestyle.

"It's all about the horse you're riding. It's all about the car you got. So there's another driver out there who said you can't drive a slow car fast. So I mean, that's, that's the truth of the matter. And Jimmie was always in a fast car, but he also had everything right and was going, going the right way about it."
