Following a strong performance in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series, Kyle Larson is set to begin his off-season racing schedule. His No. 1K car has been rolled out for a midget car dirt racing showdown at Merced Speedway in California.

Kyle Larson is a 32-year-old professional racecar driver who competes in NASCAR with Hendrick Motorsports. Outside the stock car racing league, Larson also participates in other racing series including the USAC National Midget.

The driver's first stop in the aforementioned series is at Merced Speedway with Silva Motorsports along with teammate Tyler Courtney. USAC Racing shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the Californian's midget car was rolled out of the hauler in preparation for the race.

"Yung Money! The #1K has been rolled out for @KyleLarsonRacin’s first appearance of the USAC @NosEnergyDrink National Midget season." USAC Racing wrote.

Entering with three wins at Merced Speedway, Kyle Larson is set to make his first start at the dirt track since 2021. He also ran in the 2020 edition where he finished fourth.

The Merced Speedway stop is one of three USAC National Midget races scheduled for the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champ. The next race will be at Bakersfield Speedway on November 26 before running at Ventura Raceway on November 30.

Fellow NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch will also participate in the same racing series. Busch will debut at Bakersfield Speedway and later race at Ventura Raceway. He will also run alongside his son Brexton at the Tulsa Shootout from December 31 to January 4.

Kyle Larson revealed off-season plans outside of racing

In an interview ahead of the 2024 NASCAR Awards Banquet, Kyle Larson spoke about his Bahamas vacation with his family.

Larson said (via Frontstretch):

"We just got back from Bahamas yesterday so we spent I don't know five or so days there, and that was fun. You know with the family, kids and all that. Had to come back here for the banquet stuff." [10:50]

The No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports added that the Larson family will take a vacation before flying to Australia.

"I'll go racing in California on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and then Saturday again. And then we have another vacation after that, and then Australia, and then I'll go directly to shootout and then you know then NASCAR season basically starts right after that so yeah, not a whole lot of like relaxing at home," Larson stated.
