NASCAR 2024: Preview and odds table for The Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway

The Great American Getaway 400 marks the 21st race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. The green flag will drop at 2:30 pm ET on Sunday, July 14, at the Pocono Raceway.

The 2.5-mile-long triangle-shaped oval track comprises 14 degrees of banking at turn 1, nine degrees of banking at turn two and six degrees of banking at turn three. Pocono Raceway hosts NASCAR’s all-three national series, the Cup, Xfinity and Truck Series.

A total of 37 drivers will contest over 160 laps in this week’s Cup Series race. This will be the 51st annual event hosted by the Pocono Raceway in the NASCAR Cup Series.

Heading to Pocono Raceway, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin is the favorite, per odds table, at +400, to win The Great American Getaway 400 this week, according to motorsportswire.com.

Hamlin is the defending winner of this event. With seven victories, he has the most wins at Pocono in NASCAR history.

Kyle Larson has the second highest odds, at +450, to win on Sunday. He has two runner-up finishes at The Tricky Triangle. They are followed by Christopher Bell at +650, Tyler Reddick at +750, Martin Truex Jr. at +750 and William Byron at +850 in the top five odds.

Ryan Blaney, the defending Cup Series champion, is coming this weekend with the eighth highest odds at +1500.
