The Chicago Street Course is ready to host the second annual Grant Park 165 this weekend. The 20th race of the 2024 season begins at 4:30 pm ET on Sunday, July 7, in a 165-mile action-packed contest.
Located in Chicago, Illinois, the Chicago Street Course boasts a 2.2-mile-long street course. The track hosted the first Cup race on the streets of Chicago last year and features 12 turns, including a front straight that offers stunning views of Lake Michigan along Lake Shore Drive.
Apart from making its only appearance on the Cup Series calendar this year, the Chicago Street Course will also host the Xfinity Series race this weekend.
The Grant Park 165 will feature 40 drivers. Like the other NASCAR races, Saturday’s practice sessions will open this race weekend at 12:30 pm ET and the qualifying session at 1:30 pm ET on USA Network, which will determine the starting positions for Sunday's race.
