Mike Harmon Racing, a NASCAR Xfinity Series team, has officially announced its return to the Craftsman Truck Series this season. The decision comes after years of competing in the second-tier stock car racing series. The team will take part in this Friday's MillerTech Battery 200 race at Pocono Raceway after a hiatus of seven years.

The team debuted in the Craftsman Truck Series over a decade ago in 2009 with their #42 Chevy. Then, the team added the #74 Ford to their fleet in 2011, and Mike Harmon drove the truck the following season. Subsequently, in 2013, the team acquired the #84 Ford, and in 2015, the #49 Chevy.

Reflecting on the upcoming Pocono Raceway event, the team owner, Mike Harmon, expressed his excitement and stated,

“We’re thrilled to return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. This isn’t just about getting back on the track—it’s about proving that hard work and determination still count in this sport.” (via Mike Harmon Racing

Harmon will field the well-recognized #74 truck in the MillerTech Battery 200 race. Notably, team driver Dawson Cram will perform a double-duty at the event, driving the #74 Chevy in the Xfinity Series and the #74 truck in the Truck Series race this weekend.

Here's what Cram, 23, had to say about the development:

“I am thrilled to be back behind the wheel for MHR this weekend and to be the driver picked to bring their truck program back to life! I can’t wait to run 450 miles at the tricky triangle in two different vehicles for my team!”

Notably, the NASCAR team has made 75 starts in the series, with the most recent one coming in 2018. Notably, Mike Harmon Racing aims to debut ARCA Menards Series driver Caleb Costner in the Truck Series at Richmond Raceway in August.

Dawson Cram's career over the years in the NASCAR Xfinity and Craftsman Truck Series

Professional stock car racing driver Dawson Cram debuted in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2017 under Cram Racing Enterprise and competed in a single race. Then, he moved to Beaver Motorsports for his sophomore season in the series, securing a season-best P16 finish at Phoenix Raceway.

Cram then drove for multiple teams, including Copp Motorsports, Reaume Brothers Racing, Long Motorsports, G2G Racing, and Faction46 in the 2024 season. He competed in a single event under Faction46, driving the #46 Toyota Tundra at Nashville Superspeedway, landing a P20 finish. Cram has 32 Truck Series starts and has yet to clinch a victory.

Following the same, Dawson Cram made his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in 2021 with Mike Harmon Racing and competed in a single race at Nashville Superspeedway, securing a P35 finish. He then drove for Emerling-Gase Motorsports, MBM Motorsports, and MHR in his sophomore season.

Since then, Cram has driven for multiple teams before landing a seat with Mike Harmon Racing for the 2025 season. He has 35 starts in the NASCAR second-tier series and has an average finish of 30.4.
