Former NASCAR Cup Seris driver Kenny Wallace, who turned into a sports analyst, recently shared his take on Patrick Mahomes' team's Kansas City Chief fanbase's reaction to the team's latest win securing a spot in the playoff races.
The Kansas City Chief secured a spot in the playoffs for the tenth consecutive season with a 19-17 win over the Las Vegas Raider. Despite their 11-1 record, the victory didn't feel like other wins, as the game was decided by an instant recovery in the last 11 seconds. This led to the Kansas City Chiefs' fifth game-ending in a similar dramatic fashion this season.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes highlighted that the team is pleased to secure a playoff spot. But would focus on improving and working on their inconsistent performance as their ultimate goal is the Super Bowl.
"It keeps you hungry. You're not satisfied with where we're at even though we're winning football games, and so we know we have to get better. I think everybody in the locker room knows we have to get better, but we want to go out there and do that and prove that," stated Mahomes. (via ESPN)
Reflecting on the two-point margin over the Raiders, NASCAR veteran shared a GIF captioning:
"When the @Chiefs fans are mad they are not winning by enough margin."
Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs survived a game in a similar manner against the Carolina Panthers. They led with a 14-point lead in the first half but ended the match in a nail-biting fashion with a three-point win.
Former NFL star Antonio Brown humorously shared how he would be as a NASCAR driver
Former NFL player Antonio Brown has been very active on social media lately. He even met the 18-year-old NASCAR prodigy Connor Zilisch and expressed his love for stock car racing. He recently shared a clip of how he would be if he were a NASCAR driver.
The clip featured Xfinity Series driver Josh Williams from last year's Atlanta Motor Speedway race when he parked his car on the front stretch. Williams exited his car and walked away, expressing his frustration over a penalty imposed on him. The NFL star captioned the clip:
"Antonio Brown as a NASCAR driver…."
Brown compared it to Willimas recalling his last game when Brown left the football field in between the games while playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A day before the post, Brown shared an image with Connor Zilisch, and a fan asked the stock car racing association to hand the NFL star the command of the 2025 Daytona 500.
Antonio Brown debuted in the NFL under the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010 and spent nine seasons with the team, followed by a Super Bowl match against the Green Bay Packers. He then moved to the New England Patriots in 2019 and ended his career playing under the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, including a Super Bowl victory in the 2020-21 season.
