Richard Childress Racing driver Kyle Busch shared a heartwarming Thanksgiving post on social media with his wife Samantha Busch and children- Brexton Locke Busch and Lennix Key Busch. While he was away from home because of his midget racing debut, he mentioned he was happy to be with his family.
Busch debuted in the USAC National Midget Series earlier this week and had to be away from home in California at Bakersfield Speedway to race. As Thanksgiving struck around the same time, he shared a wholesome post in pictures with his family.
"To no one’s surprise our life on the road has led us to Cali to race. No matter where we are, I’m just thankful to be with these Turkeys."
Samantha Busch has been an active social worker, advocating the needs and helping families who require IVF procedures to have children. She is an IVF mother of two and knows the struggle that families can face, especially financially. She also runs a Foundation with her husband, the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund that helps families needing IVF procedures.
Her son Brexton Busch followed his father's footsteps as he got into racing early in his career. He has been racing since 2020, delivering a strong performance at a young age. He has won 30 times at more than 10 different tracks across the country.
Post the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, Kyle Busch hasn't put himself away from racing, either.
Kyle Busch faces a disappointing result in Midget Series debut
The 2024 season was the worst in Busch's Cup Series career. He remained out of contention for a victory and did not make it to the playoffs. He was 20th in the points standings after Phoenix. However, as he debuted in the USAC National Midget Series on the 27th of November, things seemed to be better for him.
He was leading the race, piloting Lucas Oil and FloRacing's #51 around Bakersfield Speedway. However, his car lost power in the final laps and he fell down in positions as the caution flag was put out. He ultimately ended the race with a DNF, adding yet another unsuccessful attempt in his 2024 races.
Veteran NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace also shared a post on X, pointing out Busch's remarkable effort in the Midget Series race.
@KyleBusch had his heat race WON. Until the something broke. He was going good on @FloRacing.
Kyle Busch has been racing with Richard Childress Racing in the Cup Series since 2023. Although he won three races that season, 2024 turned out rather disappointing for him. There were moments when he put the #8 Chevrolet within the top 5 and was in winning contention, however, he couldn't win.
