Brad Keselowski took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to impart knowledge about an aircraft component. According to the veteran racer that one component, could save time, money, and countless lives on a US military aircraft.
Keselowski is a part owner of RFK Racing, which was rebranded from Roush Fenway Racing in 2022, also the year he joined the team. Today, the team fields three high-end Mustangs in the NASCAR Cup Series. Keselowski drives the No. 6, Chris Buescher drives the No. 17, while former Stewart-Haas Racing driver Ryan Preece is expected to join the team as the driver of the No. 60 in 2025.
Keselowski’s team has worked closely with the US Military before. His Checkered Flag Foundation even paid a tribute to the war heroes of America as Keselowski showcased a special paint scheme on his Cup car at Darlington Raceway on September 1. As a part of the initiative, families of these war heroes were invited to submit a hero’s name, which would then be featured on Keselowski’s car at “The Lady in Black.”
Through his recent post on X, Keselowski explained how important a $45 bolt is to a US military aircraft.
“These bolts are used in critical areas that often time separate life and death,” Brad Keselowski said. “They are inspected at every level to make sure someone comes back home alive, which costs time and money. They were created from lessons learned when people did not live as a result of using low quality hardware. Worth every penny.”
“From someone who builds and maintains high dollar hardware, let’s not allow messaging like this to throw away the wisdom of those who came before us so a few people can score some virtue points,” he further added.
Keselowski is out of his third season driving for Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing. The Rochester Hills native finished 13th on points this year. In 36 starts throughout the season, he amassed one win, nine top-5s, and 14 top-10s.
Brad Keselowski to pair with former crew chief in 2025
On Thursday, RFK Racing announced that Brad Keselowski will work with Jeremy Bullins, who used to be his crew chief back in the day. In 2020, when Keselowski drove for Team Penske, Bullins propelled Keselowski to the Championship 4. However, the veteran racer fell short of clinching the victory and Chase Elliott of Hendrick Motorsport took home the titular win.
Nevertheless, there’s a lot to expect as the iconic duo pairs up once again. Bullins himself said (via Newsweek),
“We were able to accomplish a lot as a team previously, but we had a couple of unfinished goals, like a Daytona 500 win and a championship together, and I'm ecstatic we get the opportunity to compete together again.”
Together with Bullins, Keselowski picked five career wins in the Cup Series and three owner’s titles in the Xfinity Series. Now that they are paired again, the No. 6 team seems to have big goals set for 2025.
“Jeremy and I share a lot of history, and I'm excited to have him join the No. 6 team as we compete together again. We've set big goals for 2025!" said Brad Keselowski recently.
Before getting reinstated, Bullins had been working as a mentor to Team Penske drivers like Austin Cindric and 2023 Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney. He is also known to have helped Harrison Burton win his career-first win at Daytona in August, which was also the 100th win for Wood Brothers Racing.
