NASCAR is ready to kick off Ruoff Mortgage 500 at the Phoenix Raceway. Meanwhile, the raceway will undergo major changes for the fourth Cup Series race. The Next Gen cars will run at the venue without a traction compound this weekend.

Motorsport journalist Bob Pockrass shared the news on his Twitter account, where he tweeted:

“And for those who aren’t fans of traction compound, there won’t be any for several of the upcoming tracks. Maybe Dover in May but no tracks before then (Atlanta, COTA, Richmond, Martinsville, Bristol dirt, Talladega).”

The one-mile-long track undergoes slight configuration changes and NASCAR resin in the same area of Phoenix as it did in November. It then ran a tire dragon over those areas.

Fans will not see any traction compound for the upcoming NASCAR tracks like Atlanta Motor Speedway, COTA, Richmond Raceway VA, Martinsville Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, and Talladega Superspeedway.

Following Austin Cindric, Kyle Larson, and Alex Bowman’s victory in the first three Cup races. They will be looking to continue their winning momentum and capture their second win of the season. The 2022 season has proved to be the best for Hendrick Motorsports so far after back-to-back victories in Fontana and Las Vegas.

Coverage will be aired on FOX, FOX Live as well as FOX Sports App. Meanwhile, Martin Truex Jr. is the defending champion of Ruoff Mortgage 500.
