Ty Dillon recently opened up about his Kaulig Racing opportunity as he is all set for the full-time Cup Series return next season. The Xfinity Series star also shared his optimism that he can bring out his best version when he takes over the steering of the No. 10 car in 2025.
Kaulig Racing, on Saturday, announced that Dillon will replace Daniel Hemric in their Cup Series charter in 2025. However, Dillion will not be driving the no. 31 car, but no. 10. Kaulig Racing released the rights of no. 31 and brought in no. 10 for Dillon. His last full-time appearance was with Spire Motorsports in 2023.
The 32-year-old will race for Kaulig this weekend, driving their #16 car at Kansas. When asked to speak about his full-time gig, and what he expects from this opportunity, Dillon told Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports in an interview:
"I just believe in never giving up and every time I feel like maybe my career in some people's eyes went down; I just worked harder. And I hope that this next chapter is the success chapter as far as results. But results aren't everything in life. You can barely control your results, you can control your effort and I've been really working hard when nobody looks in."
He added:
"So, it gives me the most gratitude and the chance to show people, and hopefully inspire some people to look at my career. I've plenty of opportunities in the sport, and in life, it will give you plenty of opportunities to bow out and do something different and say you know what it's time to move on, and when you really want something and when you really believe in yourself and you never give up, I just believe that hardwork will rise and show success in the end."
Besides Kaulig, Ty Dillon already appeared in Cup Series races for 23XI Racing, and Richard Childress Racing under part-time obligations. Next year, he will join AJ Allmendinger, who will drive the #16 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
Kaulig Racing owner has big expectations from Ty Dillon

Kaulig Racing owner Matt Kaulig has touched upon Ty Dillon's latest opportunity and spoke about his expectations from the Welcome-born driver. He hailed Dillon's performance in the Cup Series this season, despite his limited appearance.
"Ty has done a really great job for us this year in our No. 16 car, competing in a limited schedule,” Matt Kaulig said. “He has been consistent each time he gets in the car and has really helped our program grow this season. We think he will be instrumental in continuing our Cup program in alliance with Richard Childress Racing.”
Kaulig Racing is in a Cup alliance with Richard Childress Racing, and interestingly, Ty Dillon is the grandson of Childress. Dillon has 244 Cup Series starts to his name where he raked in seven top 10s.
