Daniel Suarez is spending his NASCAR off-season working out with his wife, Julia Piquet. In an Instagram story, Piquet posted a mirror selfie flaunting her toned abs in a home gym photobombed by the couple's cat.
Suarez is a 32-year-old Mexican-American NASCAR Cup Series driver piloting the No. 99 Chevrolet Camaro. He got married to Piquet in Brazil earlier this July. The couple is known for their animal advocacy, which once led to rescuing a stray cat days before their wedding day.
Julia Piquet took to Instagram and shared the progress of her fitness journey.
"Today was Ruff," Piquet wrote.
Julia Piquet may come from a motorsports royalty with former F1 champion Nelson Piquet as her father, but she chose a career in health and fitness. Piquet is a certified integrative nutrition health coach who graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition last year.
The 32-year-old fitness enthusiast once shared on social media her first health presentation in February 2023 with Trackhouse Racing, the NASCAR team her husband, Daniel Suarez, drives for.
Suarez has been driving for the Concord-based outfit since its inaugural season in 2021. He secured his first win in the Cup Series with the team at Sonoma Raceway a year later, making him the first Mexican-born driver to win a race in the premier series.
The driver will continue racing for Trackhouse Racing in 2025 following a playoff run this year where he advanced to the Round of 12. He will run alongside Ross Chastain and new teammate Shane van Gisbergen, who will drive the No. 88 car, which was acquired from the now-discontinued Stewart-Haas Racing team.
Daniel Suarez and Julia Piquet congratulated Max Verstappen on his fourth championship title
Following Max Verstappen securing the 2024 F1 world drivers' championship at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Daniel Suarez and Julia Piquet congratulated the driver on social media.
While Suarez and Verstappen compete in different motorsports series, their romantic partners are siblings. Julia Piquet is the sister of Kelly who is dating the Red Bull Racing star.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post, Daniel Suarez congratulated his mate Max Verstappen, saying:
"Congratulations mate!! Here’s to many more Mario kart games and busting our [butts] laying soap soccer."
Meanwhile, Piquet congratulated Verstappen and hoped the driver partied as hard as they did last year when he also won the title.
"4x champ," Piquet wrote with four championship trophy emojis.
"Hope you partied as hard as we did last year," she added.
Max Verstappen now has four F1 championships under his belt. The 2024 F1 season still has two races left, with the Qatar Grand Prix next on the calendar.
As for Daniel Suarez, the driver will return to the NASCAR Cup Series field in February for the Daytona 500 season-opener.
