Kyle Larson, the 2023 Knoxville Nationals winner, was recently celebrated at the Knoxville Raceway. He had the honor of a Championship Pole being named after him, adorned with his poster.

Larson was present at the event with his son to proudly unveil the pole during the ceremony. The tribute came just a day before the World of Outlaws Series finale at the Knoxville Nationals.

Knoxville Raceway updated motorsports fans with the news through a post on X that read:

"🏆𝑪𝑯𝑨𝑴𝑷𝑰𝑶𝑵 𝑷𝑶𝑳𝑬 𝑹𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑨𝑳⭐️ @KyleLarsonRacin drops the curtain on his new Championship Pole after winning the 2023 Knoxville Nationals!"

Last year, Kyle Larson took off from the pole position and dominated all 50 laps in the 62nd edition of the event, driving the #57 Silva Motorsports car. The NASCAR Cup driver surged ahead on each restart, showcasing his prowess on the track.

Larson had previously won the event in 2021. With his victory in 2023, he became only the eighth driver to secure multiple Knoxville Nationals titles. He also became only the second driver after Donny Schatz (2015) to lead every lap in a race since the Feature was extended to 50 laps.

This year, with a packed field of 108 drivers gearing up for the 63rd run of the NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals, the qualifying rounds are split over two nights — 55 drivers on one night and 53 on the other.

Matt Juhl snagged the pole position in the qualifying on Wednesday, August 7. Kyle Larson, on the other hand, is set to face competition from racers like Rico Abreu, Daryn Pittman, and Brad Sweet, as he vies for the pole position.

While it remains to be seen whether he’ll clinch another pole like last year, Larson has already marked a victory by unveiling a pole named in his honor after his 2023 win.

The Knoxville Nationals event is a lucrative affair. This year’s champion will pocket $190,000, with $15,000 guaranteed just for making it to the finale.

Kyle Larson addresses rumors swirling about the financial footing of his Sprint Car team

Motor Racing Network's lead turn announcer Dave Moody highlighted Kyle Larson's Sprint Car victory in Southern Iowa with a tweet that read:

"Let's just be clear. @KyleLarsonRacin could win in a shopping cart."

A fan quickly chimed in:

"When you're able to spend the kind of money he has I would sure hope so."

That’s when Kyle Larson decided to clear the misconception. He pointed out that his #57 Sprint Car team, led by Paul Silva, wasn’t flush with cash, as many would think. Larson backed up his claim by sharing a video in which Silva can be seen scouring a dumpster for usable wing tree parts for the #57 car.

Larson wrote on X:

"Good afternoon @RobsSportsShow. Here's a glimpse into our budget. This is car owner @Paul_Silva57 dumpster diving for parts to save a tiny bit of money. And oh btw we won on another team's used tires the last 3 races."

While Larson has been making waves in the World of Outlaws Series, he's also tearing it up in the NASCAR Cup Series as he’s currently ranked first with four wins in the regular season.
