NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch and his family spent Halloween in unique 'bush' themed costumes this holiday season. In an interview with Andrew Kurland, the Richard Childress Racing driver explained why there are no trick-or-treaters in his neighborhood.

Busch and his wife Samantha got married in 2010. The couple welcomed their children, Brexton and Lennix in 2015 and 2022 respectively.

For 2024, the Busch family dressed up in 'bush' themes outfits for going trick-or-treating in the neighborhood, where Kyle and Brexton came as common shrubs, while Samantha and Lennix wore flower-themed dresses. The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion shared a few pictures of the family on his X page.

"Happy Halloween from the Busch’s! Thorn Bush. Rose Bush. Shrub Bush. Hydrangea Bush."

During an interview with Dirty Mo Media's Andrew Kurland, Busch explained the choice of costumes as well as the reason why there are no trick-or-treaters in his neighborhood.

"You dressed up as a bush for Halloween. Whose idea was this?" Kurland inquired (0:10 onward).
"I mean, we're the Bushes, so yeah, we went with that. So finally we've got all four of us. Lenny's a little bit older now, where she's two and a half, so we felt like she could handle at least being dressed up as a little rose bush, and so it went well," Kyle Busch clarified (0:19 onward).

When questioned whether they get a lot of trick-or-treaters, Busch explained the situation around his neighborhood.

"So we don't get any in our neighborhood, so we always go to the best neighborhoods outside of our neighborhood, so we can just go door-to-door-to-door out there... They're all old. Like the night turns and the lights come on, or they turn them off and they go to bed."

"We probably had a handful of opportunities that slipped out from under us" - Kyle Busch on the end of his 19-year-long winning streak in the Cup Series

Kyle Busch's 19-year-long winning streak in the Cup Series came to an end at Phoenix this season. The Richard Childress Racing driver, who was unable to secure a win in the entire 2024 season, reflected on a disappointing year during the Championship 4 race weekend.

"Certainly frustrating. Just not at all what we had hoped it to be after some success last year, especially early in the year and having those three wins, and then struggling a little bit on and off, but then this year, just seemingly not being able to get the monkey off our back," Kyle Busch said via NASCAR.
"I mean, even having a shot to win late in the day and being close at Daytona and maybe even closer at Kansas and just not being able to pull through. We probably had a handful of opportunities that slipped out from under us. So can’t say that we shouldn’t have won this year or never had an opportunity to, but obviously didn’t get it done," he added.

The two-time Cup Series champion ended the 2024 season in 20th place with 10 top 10s and five top five finishes.
