After Kyle Busch's underwhelming season with Richard Childress Racing in 2024, the popular DLBTV host has speculated about the driver leaving RCR at the end of 2025. In a recent YouTube video, the host spoke about Busch's possible move to Trackhouse Racing in 2026.
The host of the DLBTV news network recently discussed the #8 RCR driver's possible destination in 2026. Busch, the Las Vegas native, doesn't look to retire anytime soon, and according to the renowned NASCAR influencer, he might head to Trackhouse and race for the fourth team of his career.
The 39-year-old joined Richard Childress Racing from Joe Gibbs Racing in 2023 and had a decent first year, claiming three victories. However, he has been winless ever since, which could raise the possibility of the 63-time Cup Series winner's departure come the end of 2025.
The host of the DLBTV said Trackhouse Racing, co-owned by Justin Marks, could be a possibility for the current RCR man. He could replace Daniel Suarez, who has had a topsy-turvy run in recent years at Trackhouse, driving the #99 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
"Daniel is a talented driver who's won two races for Trackhouse, but Kyle Busch could be a better fit as there is so much talent coming into the organization in the future. Many fans believe Daniel Suarez will get a let go regardless at the end of 2025 to make room for Zane Smith," the host said. (2:42-3:14)
"Adding Kyle Busch into the picture will throw a wrench into that original plan. We know Justin Marks wants to win at all costs and will definitely make a bid to head over at Trackhouse come the end of 2025 to take over the #99 car," he added.
Kyle Busch's contract with RCR expires at the end of 2025, as does Suarez's. In addition to Suarez, Trackhouse fields Ross Chastain, their star driver, in the #1 car and puts Shane van Gisbergen in the newly obtained SHR charter, the #88 car for 2025. It will be interesting to see how Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks makes the equation work when the time comes.
