Reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney, driving the #12 Ford for Team Penske, secured his second win of the 2024 season at Pocono, the track where he won his first race in 2017.
Blaney grabbed the lead from Chris Buescher on the restart with 44 laps to go and never looked back despite two more restarts and held off the late charge of Denny Hamlin in the closing laps to cross the finish line in P1.
The 30-year-old crossed the finish line 1.312 seconds ahead of Hamlin to take the checkered flag. The win marked the 12th of his Cup Series career.
Meanwhile, Hamlin, the all-time winningest driver at Pocono, finished runner-up, followed by Alex Bowman, William Byron, and Joey Logano in the top five. Tyler Reddick, Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr., Chase Elliott, and Bubba Wallace completed the top 10 in The Great American Getaway 400.
