NASCAR's Championship 4 race is set for November 10 at Phoenix Raceway, marking the conclusion of the 2024 Cup Series season. Reports recently confirmed that tickets for the final race are sold out. Fans, excited for the season's culmination, have reacted to the packed crowd at Phoenix.

Phoenix Raceway, located in Avondale, Arizona, is a 1-mile, low-banked tri-oval that has hosted the NASCAR Cup Series finale for five consecutive years. Four of these finales have sold out the grandstands. The track appears twice annually on the Cup Series schedule, with the first 2024 event being the Shriners Children's 500 in March, where Christopher Bell of Joe Gibbs Racing took the win.

Fox Sports journalist Bob Pockrass recently reported the news about the grandstand sellout at Phoenix Raceway. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Pockrass wrote:

"Phoenix Raceway says it has sold out of grandstand tickets for the Cup championship race in November."

Several fans have reacted to this news, responding to the tweet by Pockrass.

"Worst race track on the circuit, get the championship out of there," a fan wrote.
"I would rather watch f1," another fan opined.
"It may not be the best track for a championship race, but proven they can fill up the stands (and the hill behind turns 3&4) when competing against the NFL," a fan wrote.
"It’s amazing how fans really feel about that track but executives have zero clue. Miami actually gave drivers a chance to race and not get stuck in line," a fan explained.
"Although I’ve never thought Phoenix proves good racing. I’m glad the the race is sold out and more eye will be on the sport. I’d be interested to know how many of the fans that are going will be attending there first race," a fan explained.
"Championship race needs to be a different track every year," another fan wrote.

The NASCAR Cup Series Championship race, also known as the Championship 4 race is scheduled to be held on November 10, at 3 PM ET. Meanwhile, NASCAR heads to Watkins Glen International for the second playoffs race of the season this weekend.

Phoenix Raceway president sheds light on the grandstand sellout for NASCAR's season finale

Phoenix Raceway has been on the NASCAR calendar for a little over half a century, providing for several historical moments in the sport. The track's president Latasha Causey recently shed light on the full house in the grandstand for the final race of the 2024 Cup Series season.

Causey believes that the track upholds the interest of its fans, curating memorable experiences for anyone who attends races at the 1-mile tri-oval track. In a recent interview, she said (via Racing America):

“The level of appreciation we hold toward our fans is boundless after selling out another Cup Series event at Phoenix Raceway.”
“Their continuous presence and support for NASCAR and our community show why Phoenix Raceway is a state-of-the-art racing destination worthy of hosting NASCAR Championship Weekend,” she added.

Trackhouse Racing driver Ross Chastain won last year's edition of the final playoff race at Phoenix, narrowly beating Ryan Blaney, who won the Cup Series championship.
