Heading into to the Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks game, the Rams didn't have a current tiebreaker with the Seahawks in the NFC West as Sean Mcvay's outfit lost to Russell Wilson and company in the Coliseum.

However, Los Angeles changed all of that on December 17, 2017, with a dominant 42-7 win over Seattle. The Rams currently have a two-game lead over the Seahawks in the NFC West.

The Seahawks' defence had no answer for Rams running back Todd Gurley. He rushed for 152 yards on 21 carries and three touchdowns. He also caught three passes for 28 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Jared Goff didn't do much as he completed 14-of-21 passes for 120 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Robert Woods was the best Rams receiver. He caught six passes for 45 yards receiving and a touchdown.

The Rams offence was impressive though, and the Seattle Seahawks defence showed its rough patches today. The spectre of elimination undoubtedly made its presence known to Pete Carroll.

Seattle's offence also was horrendous on the day. They barely eclipsed the 200-yard mark. Russell Wilson was under duress all game long as he was sacked seven times. Aaron Donald had three sacks for the Rams. Robert Quinn had two sacks for the Rams. Connor Barwin had a sack and Matt Longacre and Michael Brockers each had 0.5 sacks.

Russell Wilson completed 14-of-30 passes for 142 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 39 yards on five carries. Luke Wilson scored Seattle's only touchdown in the third-quarter on a 26-yard touchdown reception. J.D. McKissic was Seattle's leading receiver with three receptions for 38 yards.

The Seahawks are going to need to win out and get some help to make it to the playoffs. The Los Angeles Rams will hit the road again next week against the Tennessee Titans (8-6). The Seattle Seahawks will play the Dallas Cowboys (7-6) away from home on December 24, 2017.
