APT Vietnam: Abhinav Iyer along with 6 Indians enters Day 3 of the Main Event

Indians are making news at the 2019 Asian Poker Tour (APT) Vietnam this season. Abhinav Iyer has managed to lead a team of six pros into Day 3 of the VND 8billion GTD Main Event. Iyer bagged 272,500 chips at the Pro Poker Club in Ho Chi Minh City at the end of Day 2 of the Main Event. With 250 players in contention on Day 2, 77 hopefuls were from India. The chip leader of the day was USA’s Duy Ho who bagged a total of 565,500 chips followed by Van Ngoc Binh (540,000) and Huu Tuan Nguyen (523,000).

The Indian contingency consisted of Manish Lakhotia, Meherzad Munsaf, Abhinav Iyer, Dhaval Mudgal, Eka Vedantham, and Vinod Meglamani amongst strong contenders. For Lakhotia and 12 others, the run ended before Day 2 did. However, Iyer along with 6 hopefuls has already made into Day 3.

With guaranteed payout to 58 places, the event certainly promises some high-octane action at the tables.

NLH Single Day 2 registered 105 entries and found Malaysia’s Kiat Lee topping the charts for a handsome VND 102,947,000 in a three-way deal.
