Aussie Millions Main Event Enters Day 3 With Three Indian Players
This was predicted to be India’s best year at the Aussie Millions, taking place at the Crown Casino, Melbourne this year. It has attracted a lot of talented players from several countries making it a phenomenon in the poker world.
After the completion of a lot of side events and a few deep runs by Indian players, everybody is now waiting for the 2019 Aussie Millions Main Event. This time the total number of entries for the AUD 10,600 Main Event has reached a tally of 822 making it the largest ever field in the history of the Aussie Millions.
Bansal, Sushant, Megalmani Make The Cut
Only 430 players could make the cut on Day 2 that included four Indian Players four Indians in Raghav Bansal, Paawan Bansal, Aditya Sushant and Vinod Megalmani. Raghav did start strong with the biggest stack among all four. However, he lost all towards the day end which leaves only three players for Day 3. They will be joined by a total of 169 remaining players who would fight to reach the minimum payout rank of 88.
End of Day 2
Pim de Goede, who won over $2 million in prize money at partypoker online tournament last month, is leading the chips. Aditya Sushant(292,800) and Paawan Bansal(197,300) have also managed a decent stack of chips entering Day 3. Vinod Megalmani on the other hand only managed to get through with a stack of around 30,000. He is a consistent player with some excellent skills, and it will be interesting to see if he pushes back on Day 3.
The minimum payout of AUD15,600 (₹7.99 Lakh) is for 88 players. However, everyone will be eying a bigger prize. The winner will be awarded prize money of AUD 1,850,000 (₹9.47 crore) for this Main Event. Amongst top international players like Michael Soyza, Michael Addamo, Bryn Kenney, Mike Del Vecchio and others, it will be interesting to see the Indian talents showing their might.
