Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo Wins PokerStars Turbo Series 54 For $192,427
Justin “ZeeJustin” Bonomo, who had an exceptional 2018, has continued the same momentum this year as well. Last year he won more than $25 Million in live poker games and now showed everyone that he is as good on the table as he is online by winning the Turbo Series 54: $5,200 NLHE 8-Max High Roller Turbo for $192,427.
There were a total of 194 entrants with a total prize pool of $970,000 to be shared amongst the top 23 finishers.
The Final Table
The final table consisted of eight players. Players who reached the final table were guaranteed $32,571 as prize money. However, everyone was eyeing the top prize. The first one to go from the final eight was Orpen “OrpTheTurk” Kisacikoglu. He was followed by Chris “ImDaNuts” Oliver who collected $41,979 and Netherlands-based Brit Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford who collected $54,105 for the seventh and sixth places respectively.
“skitzo333” from Canada and Manuel “fellatiado” Ruivo were the next to be removed from the table for $69,734 and $89,877 respectively. This left only three players on the board which ensured that all three would get a six-figure prize money. At this point in the game, PokerStars regular “WATnlos” from Austria was defeated, leaving Tomi “elmerixx” Brouk and Bonomo to play heads-up for the title.
This victory might not have the same level of significance as some of the others, but every win is important. This victory proved once again that Bonomo is as good online as he is on a live table. The next thing he would be eyeing would be his collection of three World Series of Poker gold bracelets. He has the calibre even to beat Phil Hellmuth’s record of 15.
