PCA 2019: Stephen Chidwick grabs top spot on England All-Time Money List

Stephen Chidwick, an English professional player from Deal, Kent bags the top spot on England all-time money list at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Chidwick began playing live poker tournaments in 2008. In 2009, Chidwick finished runner-up in the Full Tilt FTOPS Event #17 winning $142,155.30. In 2010, Chidwick made his first cash in World Series of Poker, cashing in three events.

With 3rd and 2nd place finishes in 2 separate $50,000 buy-in events for $423,780 and $423,822, he recorded three nice scores at the PCA. The Deal native also made a deep run to 8th place in the $100,000 PCA Super High Roller for another $236,720.

Chidwick All The Way

He earned lifetime winnings up to $21,296,178, beating Sam Trickett ($20,840,004). Sam congratulated Stephen on social media for his incredible win.

Chidwick had an amazing year on the felt in 2018 where he finished in the top five in cashes for the year with $10,197,347. He followed a 3rd place finish right on Trickett’s heels in December, in the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl for $1.5 million.

As of 2018, his accumulated live poker tournament winnings exceeding $20,000,000. Chidwick started 2019 as United Kingdom's Global Poker Index leader with 3602.31 points.

He went from being an average guy to one of the best-regarded poker players in the world in a few short years. The man who sits at number one spot in the Global Poker Index has now earned more than $15.5 million from winning poker tournaments and looks set to continue on his impressive rise to the upper echelons of the much-loved card game. His story proves that through hard work and dedication, along with a little faith, it’s possible for anyone to make it to the top in the poker world.
