Watch Out For The WSOP Marrakech 2019

The WSOP International Circuit is going on at the Casino de Marrakech for the fifth time. This has declared the casino’s leading stature in the region. Situated in the heart of affluent Morracan Complex Es Saadi Marrakech Resort Hôtel, the casino will be home to 10 WSOP gold ring tournaments playing from Jan 12 to 20, 2019.

The plush Moroccan ambience and luxurious hospitality at the casino and resort attract new players every year, from across the globe.

WSOP Marrakech: Gold Ring Events

As for the WSOP gold ring contention that’s underway, two players have already claimed the much-awaited WSOP rings till now. Evangelos Bechrakis from Greece outlasted a field of 155 entrants in the 4,500 MAD (€410) WSOP Circuit Opener for MAD 120,000 (€11,032; US$12,582). With this cash, he has won over $600,000 in live tournaments. There will be two more gold ring winners in the 6,000 MAD (€550) WSOP Circuit Deepstack and the 20,000 MAD (€1,800) WSOP Circuit High Roller which are currently going on.

Abdullah Ameen Alawadhi from Kuwait was the second winner after he advanced through a rabble of 207 entrants in the 3,000 MAD (€275) WSOP Circuit Turbo for MAD 120,000 (€11,032; US$12,582). It was a real underdog story as this being his second-ever cash win according to The Hendon Mob. His first Win also came here two years ago.

The main attraction this year is the 15,000 MAD (€1,350) WSOP Circuit Main Event. This tournament will feature two opening days on Jan 17 and 18. It is a deep-stacked affair with players kicking off with 30,000 in chips and blinds that will increase every 45 minutes.

The players bagging chips will then compete in a deeper structure Day 2, Jan 19. They will be playing to 75-minute blind levels before it increases to 90-minute on the final day, Jan 20.

Apart from the big prize and WSOP ring, the winner will also get a seat at the 2019 Global Casino Championship valued at $10,000. This will be given to the winner of WSOP Circuit Marrakech Leaderboard.
