WPT Adds Few More Stops In Second Half of Season XVII

The World Poker Tour (WPT), after a phenomenal 2018, is set to prepare for 2019 and have announced to add 10 more main stops to the tour for the second half of Season XVII.

In 2018, only two more stops remain to be hosted that is the WPT Seminole Rock N Roll Poker Open (Nov. 23-28) and the WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic (Dec. 10-15). It will then pay visits to the United States, Canada, and Europe after the winter break.

California’s Gardens Casino has been chosen to be the first stop for 2019. The place where USA’s Simon Lam shipped more than $565K in $5,000 WPT Gardens Poker Festival. This year, it comes with a $10,000 buy-in and starts from 12-16 January. WPT has braced up to beat the records as the final table, hosted by HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas will be played and televised at the place. This decision is part of the master plan of WPT trying to bring the oomph in the industry, of clubbing final tables together.

Talking about the thrilling news, WPT CEO Adam Pliska said that they are excited and proud to announce about adding more stops to the tour. However, they are looking forward to hosting the season’s final tables. Pliska added that with the support of “our sister company, Allied Esports and with the backing of Ourgame, they are enthused “to host the best final tables in poker at Esports Arena.”

This news also informed us that the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Okla, for the first time, will be hosting the second event in the same season. It will be held between 17th and 20th May. News Flash: In August, Brady Holiman outlasted 755 entries to emerge as the victor at WPT Choctaw for $469K. Angelica Hael, Vice President of Global Tour Management said that their players and casino partners deserve the best-in-class and the all-new “official home of poker at the HyperX Esports Arena.”
