In an opinion column for the New York Post dated November 25, 2024, English broadcaster and media personality Piers Morgan suggested that ABC's The View should be canceled. The title of Morgan's opinion piece read:

"‘The View’ is a pointless, irrelevant, Trump-loathing joke — cancel it."

In the article, Morgan said that in his worst nightmares, he finds himself trapped on a desert island with The View hosts. He further stated that he is repeatedly subjected to the show hosts' "snarling, whining, scowling, seething and cursing" about Donald Trump. Expressing his opinion on The View's claimed redundant pattern, the broadcaster dubbed it torrid, long, and mentally scarring.

Throughout the piece, Morgan called out The Views' co-hosts and their opinions on Donald Trump, suggesting that they have been trying to cancel the president-elect since the election results came out.

"'The View' has become a pointless, irrelevant parody of itself": Piers Morgan comments on ABC show calling out co-hosts

After dubbing The View a "nightmare" in his opinion piece for the New York Post, Piers Morgan began calling out the show's six co-hosts for targeting the 47th US president. Talking about comedian Joy Behar, Morgan said that she once wore blackface to a Halloween party, lied about it, and then went on to claim that Donald Trump was a "lying, racist hypocrite."

Further, Morgan called out Ana Navarro for claiming that the president-elect wasn't elected legitimately in 2016. He also talked about how Alyssa Farah Griffin says that Trump is the "worst president of all time," mentioning that Alyssa was paid $183,000 to be the president-elect's communications aide at the White House once and that she dubbed Trump a "brilliant president" back then.

Talking about Sunny Hostin, Morgan said that she accused the former governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, of fake crying over her husband's deployment to war zones. Hostin also reportedly called Nikki a "hypocrite chameleon," shaming her for not using her real first name, while Hostin doesn't use her real first name either.

Morgan further stated that Hostin comments on the president-elect being heartless, cruel, and hypocritical.

Elsewhere, Morgan called out Whoopi Goldberg, saying that she was suspended for claiming that the Holocaust didn't have anything to do with race, while she speaks about Trump being a "race-baiting imbecile." He also mentioned Sara Haines, who keeps calling the president-elect a "jerk" repeatedly.

Expressing his views on why the show must be canceled, Piers Morgan stated:

"Because 'The View' has become a pointless, irrelevant parody of itself that urgently needs to be put out of its — and our — misery."

Additionally, Morgan expressed concern for viewers of The View, stating that watching the show every day is like an "assault on their eardrums from a bunch of partisan obsessives" competing against one another over who hates Trump the most.

Furthermore, Morgan mentioned that Ana Navarro said she worked hard for Trump not to be president, as she stated that "today we can be sad" when he won the election. Asking who the "we" was who Ana referring to, Piers Morgan stated that the majority of Americans aren't sad about the president-elect's victory.

He then added that the majority of Americans feel relieved that it isn't Kamala Harris and her "policy-devoid agenda."

Toward the end of his opinion piece, Piers Morgan said that co-hosts of The View were despising someone who was about to become their president again, calling it a "one-sided act."

Morgan also stated that he doesn't like cancel culture but since hosts of The View have worked hard to cancel the president-elect, it was time that they were canceled as well.
