During an appearance on the Brisbane radio show B105, Miami-based Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson discussed her holistic breast cancer treatment and her breast cancer diagnosis. The show, co-hosted by presenters Stav Davidson, Loren Barry, and Matty Acton, took place on Tuesday, September 10.

However, Elle Macpherson allegedly hung up on radio hosts after being asked questions regarding her Australian citizenship and the Australian elections. During the conversation, the supermodel, who currently resides in Miami, was asked about the logistics of how she would cast her vote from the United States.

Elle Macpherson responded that she did not want to discuss politics on morning radio. Shortly afterward, she claimed that she had a call waiting and abruptly hung up on the radio station.

According to Daily Mail and Australia's News.com, the interview took a turn when Matty Acton asked Macpherson if she was still a citizen of Australia and how she planned on voting from Miami. The next Australian federal elections are expected to take place next year before September 27, 2025. Macpherson responded:

"I’m not getting drawn into politics on morning radio."

Acton further clarified his question by asking her:

"I’m not gonna ask you who you’re voting for. I’m just thinking about the logistics of how you’ve got to do that if you’re living in Miami."

Elle Macpherson then apologized, stating somebody was calling her for another live show. She asked the radio co-hosts if they could come back to this before abruptly cutting the call and terminating the interview. Davidson remarked:

"I don’t reckon she’s calling us back."

Loren Barry jokingly thought that the supermodel was allegedly not going to vote in the upcoming elections and did not want to catch a fine for not doing so. A person on the electoral roll in Australia is mandatorily required to vote during the federal, state territory, or local government elections. Davidson further remarked:

"We just got ghosted by Elle MacPherson. I think that’s the highlight of my career."

Elle Macpherson opened up about her holistic approach to breast cancer

Elle Macpherson has been making headlines after opening up about her battle with breast cancer during an interview with Australia’s Women’s Weekly magazine, published on Monday, September 2. The model revealed that she received her breast cancer diagnosis seven years ago after undergoing a lumpectomy.

Even after being advised, Macpherson refused to undergo a mastectomy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, and breast reconstruction surgery and opted for a more non-traditional "intuitive, heart-led, holistic approach." Macpherson was in "shock" after her diagnosis. To the model, this was unexpected, confusing, and daunting in many ways.

However, this forced Macpherson to dig deep into her "inner sense" to find a solution that worked for her. She told the outlet:

"I realized I was going to need my own truth, my belief system to support me through it. And that’s what I did. So, it was a wonderful exercise in being true to myself, trusting myself and trusting the nature of my body and the course of action that I had chosen."

Elle Macpherson used the help of her primary doctor and a combination of lifestyle changes and therapies to heal her cancer. Macpherson revealed that her decision received mixed responses from family and friends and further noted that saying no to traditional medicine was one of the hardest things that she'd ever done. For the model, sometimes a choice from the heart made no sense to others. She said:

"People thought
I was crazy but I knew I had to make
a choice that truly resonated with
me. To me, that meant addressing emotional as well as physical factors associated with breast cancer. It was time for deep, inner reflection. And that took courage."

Seven years after her diagnosis, Elle Macpherson announced that in traditional terms, her cancer was in remission, but according to the model, she was in "utter wellness" from every perspective. This included blood tests, scans, and imaging tests along with her emotional, spiritual, and mental state.
