Manny Pacquiao faced Floyd Mayweather in the highest-grossing combat sports event of all time, and fast-forward to 2017, Pacman’s record is set to be shattered by another Mayweather matchup, only this time with the latter facing Conor McGregor.

It goes without saying that Manny had a unique perspective on the fight, and as expected, the boxing purist that he is, the Filipino phenom sided with his fellow boxer, in this case, former opponent Mayweather.

Here’s what Pacquiao had to say regarding the matchup:

“McGregor has no chance in this fight. The guys who caught him (Floyd) and rumbled did best (and) McGregor is of that school (so) maybe he’ll get lucky.”

“There is no way he will be able to land a meaningful punch on Floyd. How could he? He (Conor) has no professional experience in boxing.”
