Nina Castagna Nationality

Nina Castagna is a professional American rower, competing collegiately at the University of Washington. Castagna has been qualified to represent the United States in the women's eight event at the 2024 Summer Olympics. Notably, she won a silver medal with her team in this category at the 2023 World Rowing Championships. Furthermore, she has been selected to cox the United States women's eight for the upcoming Olympic Games, which will be held in France.

Since joining the University of Washington in 2018, Castagna has actively participated on its women’s rowing team. Her achievements include being named to the CRCA All-America first team in 2023 and earning accolades on both the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll and as a first-team All-Pac-12 member that same year. In 2022, she was honoured as part of the All-Pac-12 Team and also secured a spot on that year's Spring Academic Honor Roll. Earlier, in 2021, Castagna received recognition as second-team Pocock All-America by CRCA and was again named to an All-Pac-12 team roster.

Nina Castagna holds American nationality, as she was born and raised in the United States. In addition to her international success, Nina has achieved remarkable results in collegiate competitions. She participated in the 2023 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships, where her team secured second place in the Varsity Eight category.

In previous years, she finished fifth (Varsity Eight) at the 2022 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships and third (Varsity Eight) both at the 2021 NCAA Women’s Rowing Championships and first place (Varsity Eight) at the 2021 Pac-12 Championships.

Nina Castagna Hometown

Nina Castagna hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was born and raised. She completed her secondary education at Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati. During her time in high school, she was an active member of the Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club. She achieved notable successes including first place in the Varsity 8+ at the Midwest Championships for three consecutive years (2016, 2017, and 2018), second place in the Varsity 8+ at Youth Nationals (2016 and 2017), second place in the U19 4+ at Club Nationals (2015) and third place in the same event (2016), and third place in the U17 4+ at Club Nationals (2015). Following her high school career, Nina pursued further education at the University of Washington located in Seattle, Washington. Currently, she is a student-athlete at NCAA, based in Seattle, Washington, United States.
