All India and South Asia Rugby- Division 1 tournament: Army, Maharashtra State Police reach semis

The third day of the All-India and South Asia National Rugby Tournament also proved to be an exciting affair with two out of the three teams winning their respective matches in dominating fashion.

The Bhubaneswar RFC, who had lost their opening game against the Army Red, succumbed to yet another loss, this time to the Jungle Crows, who beat them 39-7 in the first match of the afternoon.

The second game saw the most crushing performance of the day by the Bangalore RFC, who beat the Young Rugby Club 43-0 to get their campaign going. The third match of the day proved to be a closely fought affair but it was the Maharashtra State Police who pulled through to win their second consecutive match against the CCFC 10-8.

The action now shifts to the semifinal stage of the tournament which will take place on Thursday. The first semifinal will see the reigning champions Army, who demolished the Bhubaneshwar RFC in their only match 72-0 face of against the Maharashtra State Police.

The second one will see the Bombay Gym face off against the Delhi Hurricanes. All-in-all it promises to be an exciting couple of matches on Thursday.
