Wellington, Sep 14 (IANS) - A two-try performance from captain Kieran Read helped New Zealand beat South Africa 29-15 in their Rugby Championship match in Auckland’s Eden Park on Saturday.

South Africa had Bismarck du Plessis sent off for two contentious yellow cards and New Zealand finished the match with 13 players after Read and Ma’a Nonu were yellow carded in the last 10 minutes, reports Xinhua.

The All Blacks’ bonus point victory – courtesy of tries to Read, Brodie Retallick and Sam Cane – gave them the lead in the championship.

New Zealand moved to 17 points having achieved their fourth victory, while the Springboks remained on 13 points.

They next host Australia in Cape Town while the All Blacks travel to La Plata to meet Argentina, with both games Sep 28.
