Three-time London Marathon winner Paula Radcliffe has said that she came into the 2015 London Marathon on Sunday, without any preparation and as she was on the verge of finishing the race, she didn‘t even care to think about her timing and admitted in the end that she was going to miss taking part in such events in the future.

The 41-year-old participated in the Selected Celebrity category on Sunday and finished the fastest among all her fellow countrymen at the race, with a timing of 2 hours, 36 minutes and 55 seconds.

“I came into this race unprepared and hoped the magic of the London Marathon would help me and I'm sure it did. Down the last mile I thought 'I don't care about the time', I just wanted to thank as many people as I could,” Radcliffe said after the race.

"I knew it would be emotional and it was so emotional. I nearly lost it at Birdcage Walk but the crowds bowled me over, I wanted it to last forever. It was so special, I'm really going to miss it. I was looking to finish holding hands with someone. I always wanted to run with my dad but never managed it so I did it in spirit instead,” she added.
