GAIL – The Fastest Corporate held its second event in Bangalore on 7th January 2015. Held at RMZ Ecospace, the event was attended by several techies throughtout the day.
Runners from Bosch, Capegimini, HP, Accenture, Northern Trust, Cisco, Wipro, eBay and several other took up the challenge to show their speed and endurance.
The event in Bangalore was a part of a three-city tour, to get corporates challenge one another by covering the maximum distance in one minute. The numbers kept flowing in as a crowd gathered to witness their colleagues and friends take on the challenge.
Swathi from Northern Trust emerged the winner in the women’s section after finsihing 100 metres in one minute. In the men’s section, Chandu from Accenture ran a staggering 220 metres in sixty seconds. There were quite a few runners who crossed the 180 metres mark but none could come close to Chandu who took the title in Bangalore.
GAIL – The Fastest Corporate intends to promote exercise and fitness amongst corporate as well as spread awareness of GAIL – The Fastest Indian, which aims at identifying and nurturing the fastest Indians in the country and preparing them for the 2020 Olympics.
