In an unfortunate incident, that occurred in the recently held Half-marathon, conducted by the SSB unit of the Border Security Force, 34-year-old Kishore Singh Bhandari from Tanakapur breathed his last after collapsing near the Nepal border, NDTV Reports.
"Bhandari collapsed while competing in the event and was unconscious. This was just as the athletes were entering the Nepal border,” Prakash Singh Danu, in-charge at the Banbasa Police Station said.
He further added that Nepal police rushed him to the nearest hospital, reaching upon which he was declared dead.

“Nepal Police immediately rushed him to the nearest Mahendra Nagar health centre where the doctor in attendance declared him dead on arrival,” he said.
The marathon saw as many as 1200 participants from both India and Nepal and it would be safe to say that this incident was certainly something that everybody wouldn't have wanted to see.
