Nike challenges runners in Mumbai to 'Race the lights'

Mumbai, December 20, 2014: Nike today hosted the Zoom Boom Expo, a complete running experience to connect and inspire runners a month in advance of the big Mumbai race. Designed to help runners become stronger and faster, the expo presented runners with the opportunity to seek valuable tips from renowned experts on training, fitness,nutrition and the right running gear.

The first-of-its-kind Nike expo, which was held at the iconic Bandra Fort, included testing zones crafted with the requirements of the runner in mind and with an aim to help athletes run faster on race day.

Nike ‘#1momile’ zone, a specially created 40-meter running track that lights up timed to three-time world champion Mo Farah’s speed, gave runners a chance to virtually challenge the legend.

Runners also had an exclusive session with Nike+ Run Club Head Coach Daniel Vaz who shared essential training tips designed to increase speed. For the next four weeks, the Nike+ Run Club will provide runners with endurance training, speed workouts and core conditioning specific to each runner’s goals so they are prepared for the Mumbai race. Throughout the year, runners have access to the Nike+ Run Club to continue training towards their next personal best.

Nike also unveiled the special Mumbai ‘Race Day Tee’ that runners can now buy at select Nike retail in Mumbai and exclusively online at www.jabong.com. The Nike Dri-FIT race day tee is equipped with the latest Nike innovations to keep runners dry and cool during the race.
