The recently concluded Hyderabad Marathon was indeed an amazing event. The organizers put their best foot forward and put up a great show on a hot Sunday morning.
Ram Singh Yadav and Jyoti Singh emerged as champions in their respective categories at the marathon event. Ram Singh showed a great deal of will and grit to snatch the first place from close competitor Samroo Yadav.
Satya Bhan, who also had a good race, finished third to round off the podium finishes.
In the women’s category, eventual winner Jyoti Singh clinched the title from Sudhamani and Indush Dhiraj, who finished second and third respectively.
The full marathon, a distance of 42.195 km, was flagged off at People’s Plaza at 5 am with the finishing point set at the GMC Balayogi Stadium, in Gachibowli. The volunteers set up by the organizers were very vocal throughout the race, cheering constantly for the participants.
