Sydney Half Marathon

TCS, the Indian IT services, consulting and business solutions firm, has reinforced its sponsorship of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon by signing a sponsorship contract for the 8K run. The additional partnership for the 8K track has been signed until 2015. The event organizer, Le Champion, are expecting a total of 40,000 marathon runners on Sunday, October 20th. More than 7,000 entrants will line up for the TCS 8K run.

This year’s TCS 8K race as well as full marathon will have an unique new feature, as the new route will lead runners through the heart of Rijksmuseum, the famous passage which connects Amsterdam city centre with the south of Amsterdam. The finish will take place in the historical Olympic Stadium.

“We are proud that TCS has become the 8K title partner within the TCS Amsterdam Marathon”, said Simone Richardson, Director Le Champion. “The 8K track gives an extra dimension to the event and allows families from the Netherlands and abroad to participate and run together. This is an important value that both Le Champion and TCS want to address.”

Amit Kapur, Regional Director and Head Benelux TCS, said: “We are very excited and delighted to extend our commitment to the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, as the new title sponsor of the 8K track. The 8K race creates an opportunity for more runners to experience TCS Amsterdam Marathon iconic event and contribute towards wellness of society and cancer research, by supporting the VUmc CCA.
