#5 Meerut-born shooter

The 28-year old Ravi Kumar was born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on the 1st of January, 1990 and is also an alumnus from the Delhi University, as is his mixed team partner Apurvi Chandela and trains under Ukrania-based coach Oleg Mikhailov.

#4 Works with the Indian Air Force

Having won an innumerable number of competitions and medals in the shooting arena, it comes as no surprise that Ravi Kumar represents the Indian Air Force at the national level. At the 61st National Shooting Championships in 2017, Ravi Kumar clinched the gold medal with a score of 251.2

#3 First Shooting World Cup medal in 2018

This year, Ravi Kumar finally managed to end his drought of not securing a medal in the ISSF World Cup when he went on to score 226.4 that earned him a bronze medal.

#2 Bronze medallist at the 2014 Incheon Games and 2018 Commonwealth Games

Ravi Kumar had his first taste at the international level when he teamed up with the Abhinav Bindra and Sanjeev Rajput and won the bronze medal in the 10m Team Rifle event. In the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Ravi Kumar won an individual gold medal as part of the 10m Rifle event.

During the Commonwealth Games 2018, Ravi Kumar mentioned that he idolizes Yuvraj Singh for the southpaw's terrific comeback from cancer and also added that his ultimate aim was to win a gold medal at the Olympic level.
