India’s Gurpreet Singh, who, so narrowly missed out on an Olympic quota berth in the 25m Rapid Pistol Fure event on Saturday, sealed a spot in the 10m Air Pistol fire category on Sunday after he finished fourth in the finals of the ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup in Munich.

Gurpreet finished 8th in a total of 138 shooters who took part in the qualification stage with a score of 579 and in the finals shot a score of 154.8, thereby finishing in fourth spot and sealing an Olympic berth next year.
Courtesy, that performance, he now becomes the fifth Indian shooter after Jitu Rai, Apurvi Chandela, Gagan Narang and Abhinav Bindra to have sealed an Olympic quota berth.
