» Skeet Men - an Olympic event

Double Olympic Champion Vincent Hancock of USA won his 4th World Championship Gold by equalling the world record in qualification, hitting all the 125 clay targets. In the Final, he shot 59 clay pigeons to tie the world record by losing one target in his eighth shot. Indian skeet shooters fared poorly as Angad Bajwa was the best among the three, finishing in 49th place.

Gold - Vincent Hancock (USA) 59 (EWR), Silver - Erik Watndal (NOR) 55, Bronze - Ricardo Filippelli (ITA) 44, 4th Place - Emmanuel Petit (FRA) 37.

49th Place - Angad Vir Singh Bajwa (IND) 118, 69th Place - Sheeraz Sheikh (IND) 115, 77th Place - Mairaj Ahmad Khan (IND) 113.

France won the Gold in Men's skeet, followed by Italy and Russia. Hancock narrowly missed his second Gold as the USA took the 4th spot, trailing by one point.

Gold - France 365 (Emmanuel Petit 122, Eric Delaunay 122, Anthony Terras 121).

Silver - Italy 363 (Riccardo Filippelli 123, Gabriele Rossetti 122, Tammaro Cassandro 118)

Bronze - Russia 361 (Anton Astakhov 122, Alexander Zemlin 120, Yaroslav Startsev 119).

20th Place - India 346 (Angad Vir Singh Bajwa 118, Sheeraz Sheikh 115, Mairaj Ahmad Khan 113).

Caitlin Connor eventually got the Gold following 7 silver medals in ISSF competitions.The United States won their fourth consecutive medal at the World Championships in Women's Skeet. Rhodes secured the Silver and Amber clinched the Bronze as the USA won all the three medals on offer.

Gold - Caitlin Connor (USA) 57, Silver - Kimberly Rhode (USA) 56, Bronze - Amber English (USA) 46. 4th Place - Danka Bartekova (SVK) 36, 5th Place - Natalia Vinogradova (RUS) 26.

41st Place - Rashmi Rathore (IND) 108, 49th Place - Maheshwari Chauhan (IND) 106, 50th Place - Ganemat Sekhon (IND) 105.

The United States created a new world record in the team event to claim the Gold. India had a poor performance, finishing in 9th place.
