Jitu Rai wins bronze at ISSF Changwon World Cup

Jitu Rai did extremely well to clinch bronze in Changwon

Ace Indian shooter Jitu Rai won bronze in the 10 m air pistol event at the ongoing ISSF World Cup in Changwon.

Rai had qualified for the finals in eighth place with a score of 581 points. Prakash Nanjappa and Gurpreet Singh missed out as they finished in 18th and 48th positions respectively.Rai scored 181.1 points in the final to clinch the third place. Korea’s Jongoh Jin won gold with 206 points, while Myanmar’s Naung Ye Tun won silver with a total of 201 points.

The Indian jumped into third place after five rounds of shooting in the final. It was difficult to separate Rai and Ye Tun as they battled for second place. It was the Myanmar lad who edged out the Indian by just 0.4 points after eight rounds.
