Men's Pistol and Women's Rifle Shooters out of ISSF World Cup

New Delhi, August 13, 2015: On day five of competition at the ISSF World Cup in Gabala, Azerbaijan, both the Indian Men’s team in the 10m Air Pistol event and the Women’s team in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event failed to qualify for their respective final rounds.

The summary of the Indian performances on the day are as follows:

50m Rifle 3 Positions Women

Lajja Gauswami finished 27th in qualification with a score of 579

Elizabeth Susan Koshy shot 576 to finish in 43rd position

Anjum Moudgil was placed 46th with a score of 575

10m Air Pistol, Men

Gurpreet Singh placed 18th in qualification with a score of 578

Jitu Rai in 20th place shooting a score of 576

Omkar Singh finished in 24th place with a score of 575

50m Rifle 3 Positions Men- Qualification and Finals slated for Friday

Surendra Sinh Rathod placed 12th with a score of 1165 in his elimination round

Chain Singh at 15th position at the end of his elimination round with a score of 1161

Gagan Narang at 25th position with a score of 1158
