Daffy Duck as Green Loontern

↵If you think that you have played LEGo Batman 3 fully and unlocked all its characters, then you might wanna step back for a second because there's more to the game than what meets the eye.It is crammed full of the kind of Easter Eggs, references and in-jokes that fans of the series have come to expect, and there’s a massive number of reference points to the DC universe, including some brand new characters and reveals for old favourites. So after the 14 hour long gameplay, now it is time to look at the top 7 Easter eggs which were hidden in the game and also were clues to the upcoming LEGO movie.

#1 Cameos

Daffy Duck as Green Loontern

Cameos can make anything, whether a movie or a game, surprisingly interesting with their sudden appearance. It was clear to everyone who saw the trailer of the game that it featured some of the renowned cartoons.

The game has many cameos which include, Conan O’Brien, who gets some comic moments, and there are other appearances for nerd-baiting figures. We meet legendary Heath Ledger’s Joker in the nurses’ outfit and also Stephen Amell pops up – the lead in Arrow.

My personal favorite cameo will be odd character cameos, like The Condiment Ki ng, and special mention must go to Daffy Duck, in costume as the Green Loontern.

#2 The Secret 1966 Level

If you take the Bat-logo elevator in themain Bat-room you can fly all the way to the sets of 1966 Wayne Manor. Adam West for espcially taken for the role of 1966 Batman.

If you then switch to Batman, and use the grapple gun to point to the left of the bookcase, a secret passage will open. Jump onto the poles and there’s a secret bonus level celebrating the 1966 show, and a linked Achievement

#3 The Joker Plays With Batman

In a cutscene during the Space infestation, we see a very interesting scene going on. In the cutscene, it is seen that Joker is playing something that looks suspiciously like an Atari, complete with classic joypad, and uses the game to control the rockets he shoots to keep the goodies away from the Space Station.

The cut scene reveals the Joker in a huff as his claims that he’s going to take Batman down “old school” style are vanquished and he rage-quits as we see a shot of a 2D Batman side-scroller on his console screen.

#4 Sing The Theme Tune

I still remember the classic Batman tune. The LEGO Batman 3 share a same feature like its predecessor. When Superman takes off in this sequel, his theme tune plays once more, and Wonder Woman gets the same treatment, as her classic TV theme is played.

An extra new feature which is added in this game is that if you leave the system untouched, while the character selection, after a while all the characters start humming the classic Batman tune together. Isn’t it cool?

#5 The Arkham Asylum/City Reference

The game has also reference to the famous Arkham series. If you head to the right of the TV set for the 1966 Batman show, there’s a cracked wall that can be smashed down using one of the stronger members of the playable cast like Killer Croc, Lex Luthor or Cyborg in large form or Solomon Grundy.

Through this cracked wall you can see a Riddler trophy which is frequently seen in the Rocksteady studios’ Arkham Series. There’s also another Easter Egg related to the same area, and indeed the same villain.

If you play as The Riddler in Batman’s Trophy Room, an alarm will sound “Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert!” referencing the sequence in Batman Forever when Jim Carrey’s Riddler destroys the Batcave.

#6 The Achievements Names

In the game hundreds of funny touches are given in order to keep the players hooked to the game and at the same time it lets them enjoy the game too.

There’s also an undeniable slant on pop culture in the Achievements list and level names, including TV show nods like Breaking Bats, Bats All Folks! and Space suits you, Sir! as well as film references like The Lantern Menace, Big Trouble In Little Gotham, A Blue Hope and Bane And Gain.

Random musical references like Jailhouse Nok, Power Of Love and Glide On Time and some nerdy references like The Bright Knight and Under The Red Brick are given which without any doubt are very clever.

#7 The Jurassic Park/World Teaser

Most of us skip the ending credits, let it be a movie or a game we tend to skip it. But if you sit through the credits for LEGO Batman 3, there’s a nod to what should be coming next for the game producers.

In the ending credits we see Batman and Robin climb up the side of a building in the classic 1966 show’s but suddenly they are joined by a LEGO T-Rex, who shows up along with the Jurassic Park theme tune. L

EGO are set to produce official Jurassic World toy sets to coincide with the release of the game, and TT may well also be making a Jurassic Park/World game to join the sets. Hopefully this Egg will be the teaser for that game.
