ISL: NorthEast United FC 1-1 Mumbai City FC - 5 Talking Points

Massamba Lo Sambou (white shirt jumping in the middle) could have two goals in the final two minutes

#2 No holding back despite nothing to play for

It was an all-out effort from both teams despite there being nothing to play for

After Atletico de Kolkata got the required point from their home game earlier in the day, both NorthEast and Mumbai knew that their upcoming match would be their last of the tournament. But the players gave it their all and there was no lull in the match as can sometimes happen in dead rubbers.

Both teams were keen to get a win to round off their campaigns and perhaps the wastefulness they displayed was a result of that, as they snatched at some of the chances. It was a fitting way to round off proceedings in the round-robin phase.
