The games from the “Assassin’s Creed II” till the “Assassin’s Creed: Revelations” feature the protagonist Ezio Auditore. Ezio trilogy is the series’ most successful and appreciated, esp Assassin’s Creed II which marked the beginning of the Ezio as an Assassin.

The thing that most of the critics like about Ezio was the developement of his character. The creators showed properly how Ezio lost his father and brothers to the templar order and how he becomes a master assassin. Also, he remains the only protagonist in the series to have three games with him as the lead character.
