2023 NFL Draft: Wide Receiver Rankings

TCU v Kansas
Is Quentin Johnston the first receiver off the board in the 2023 NFL Draft?

With the College Bowl season picking up pace, it's time to look at the prospects who could enter the 2023 NFL Draft. Many declarations are yet to come in throughout the season, so this list is subject to change. However, this is how the position currently stacks up:

WIDE RECEIVERS:

1) Quentin Johnston- 6'4, 212 lbs. Junior- TCU Horned Frogs:

Quentin Johnston is a physical freak. Players who are Johnston's size should not be able to move as fluidly as he does. Johnston is marvelous with the ball in his hands and has a lot of 'CeeDee Lamb' in his game.

2) Jaxson Smith-Njigba- 6', 200 lbs. Junior- Ohio State Buckeyes:

It would be unfair to penalize Jaxon Smith-Njigba for an injury-riddled season. Smith-Njigba was the top receiver coming into the season by many draft pundits. Don't forget just how dominant JSN was during the 2021 season. As long as Smith-Njigba remains fit, he should be an early 1st round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

3) Jordan Addison- 6', 175 lbs. Junior- USC Trojans:

Jordan Addison is a dynamic route runner. He operates out of the slot but can stretch the field vertically better than any receiver in College Football.

4) Kayshon Boutte- 6', 185 lbs. Junior- LSU Tigers:

Kayshon Boutte had a disappointing 2022 season but is a talented player who should shine in individual workouts.

5) Jalin Hyatt- 6', 175 lbs. Junior- Tennessee Volunteers:

Jalin Hyatt broke onto the scene in 2022 in a big way. He operated as a vertical threat for the Volunteers and destroyed the opposition regularly. Is Hyatt just a one-trick pony?

6) Josh Downs- 5'10, 170 lbs. Junior- North Carolina Tar Heels:

Some teams will knock Josh Downs due to his size but that would be a foolish move. Josh is a sensational football player and can make a living eating up the opposition out of the slot.

7) Rashee Rice- 6'3, 205 lbs. Senior- SMU Mustangs:

Rashee Rice is gaining momentum as we enter the draft season and is a sneaky name to watch for 1st round consideration.

8) Zay Flowers- 5'10, 175 lbs. Senior- Boston College Eagles:

Zay Flowers is the most consistent and productive receiver in the 2023 NFL Draft class. The youngster is undersized, but looms large on the field.

9) Cedric Tillman- 6'3, 215 lbs. Senior- Tennessee Volunteers:

Cedric Tillman was the 'other' receiver for the Tennessee Volunteers this season. Tillman is a long-term #2 receiver who plays with physicality in the intermediate area.

10) Xavier Hutchinson- 6'3, 210 lbs. Senior- Iowa State Cyclones:

Xavier Hutchinson continued to improve every season at Iowa State. Hutchinson went from an off-the-radar prospect to a legitimate 2nd-day draft prospect.
