Arizona Wildcats vs. UCLA Bruins: Match Details

Fixture: Arizona Wildcats @ UCLA Bruins

Date & Time: Saturday, November 12, 10:30 p.m EDT

Venue: Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California

The Wildcats are doing rather well offensively as they have scored 30.9 points on 465.8 total yards per game thus far. Sophomore quarterback Jayden de Laura is currently 10th in the country at this level with 2,813 yards while having a 22:8 touchdown-to-interception ratio. They also have a solid wide receiver in junior Jacob Cowing, but his inclusion is going to be a game-time decision with a knee injury troubling him at practice.

Defensively, they are struggling as they are giving up 38.2 points per game and allowing teams to run for 218.7 yards per game against them. They have not been able to apply pressure with force turnovers as they have just 10 sacks as a team and just a pair of interceptions throughout the entire season.

The UCLA Bruins have not had any problems scoring the ball as they are averaging 40.8 points on 508.4 total yards per game. A huge factor is their ability to run the football, with senior running back Zach Charbonnet coming in with 128 carries for 964 yards (7.5 yards per attempt) and 10 rushing touchdowns as well as 20 catches for 232 yards (11.6 yards per reception). Senior quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson has been doing extremely well as he is fourth in the nation at this level with an 89.4 QBR and has accounted for 26 total touchdowns (19 passing, seven rushing).

Their defense has stepped up with 25.6 points per game this season, limiting running attacks with 124.4 rushing yards allowed per game thus far. They have nine interceptions and five fumble recoveries this year. Expect the opposition to have a tough time with ball security against them.

Arizona Wildcats vs. UCLA Bruins: Pick

Dorian Thompson-Robinson uses his legs to get himself out of trouble and is not afraid to escape the pocket to pick up yards. DTR is averaging just 184 passing yards in his last two games and that is way too high a number. Expect Charbonnet to get some carries as well. The opportunity to throw for yards doesn't seem to be very probable.

Best Pick: Dorian Thompson-Robinson Under 252.5 Passing Yards (+100)

Arizona Wildcats vs. UCLA Bruins: Prediction

Arizona is not going to be able to score or move the ball well if Jacob Cowing is out for this game as he is their best offensive weapon on the field. This UCLA defense is solid and should keep the scoring to a minimum while they continue to try to break into the top-10 in the nation as a program. The Bruins are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games against the Wildcats, hence they are the better option to bet on.

Final Prediction: UCLA Bruins -20 (-110)
