Kansas State Wildcats vs. West Virginia Mountaineers: Match Details

Fixture: Kansas State Wildcats vs. West Virginia Mountaineers

Date & Time: Saturday, November 19, 2:00 p.m. EDT

Venue: Milan Puskar Stadium, Morgantown, West Virginia

The Wildcats have been doing pretty well offensively throughout the season, averaging 30.6 points for a total of 417.8 yards. Senior quarterback Adrian Martinez has played well as he has completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,261 yards with just six touchdowns and one interception on the year thus far.

The offense typically flows through the running game of guys like junior running back Deuce Vaughn. Vaughn currently has 198 rushes for 1,081 yards (5.5 yards per carry) with five rushing touchdowns as well as recording 38 receptions for 266 yards (seven yards per catch) with three receiving touchdowns sprinkled in.

The Wildcats have been dominant defensively as well, as they are giving up just 17.5 points on 361.1 total yards per game. They have to limit the amount of passing against them as they are allowing 217.3 passing yards per game so far. They were right around that number last week as Baylor threw for 203 passing yards last week against them.

The Mountaineers are also a pretty competent offensive side that has scored 31.4 points with 409.2 total yards with great help from their rushing attack. Sophomore running back Tony Mathis Jr is leading the way with 122 rushing attempts for 545 yards (4.5 yards per carry) and five rushing touchdowns.

They need to perform better from the quarterback position to be taken seriously here as junior quarterback JT Daniels has completed 61.2 percent of his passes for 2,107 yards with 13 touchdowns and nine picks thus far.

Their defense has to prove itself in this game as they have allowed the opposition to score 32.8 points per game. Teams are running the football well against them as they are allowing 147.2 rushing yards per game and need things to pick up there if they want to get stops.

Kansas State Wildcats vs. West Virginia Mountaineers: Pick

Deuce Vaughn is capable of having a big day on the ground and this feels like a game where he is going to do so. He gets the volume of rushing attempts in this offense as in his last three games, he is averaging 22 carries per game.

If Vaughn was to hit the over with that many rushing attempts, he needs to run for his season average of 5.5 yards per attempt. West Virginia is not good at stopping the run so he should be able to pick up a few big runs and dominate here.

Best Pick: Deuce Vaughn Over 121.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Kansas State Wildcats vs. West Virginia Mountaineers: Prediction

The Kansas State Wildcats are the better team on the field in this game and should be able to win by multiple possessions. West Virginia's defense has been even worse than their season average as they are giving up 35 points per game in their last four games.

Compare that to Kansas State, which is giving up 12.3 points per game in their previous three games. The favorite has covered the spread in four of their last five games so go with the Kansas State Wildcats to do just that here.

Final Prediction: Kansas State Wildcats -14 (-105)
