Kraken vs. Hurricanes: Odds, Lines, Picks, and Predictions - December 15 | NHL Regular Season

Carolina Hurricanes v Los Angeles Kings
Jordan Staal has 10 points on the season.

The Seattle Kraken hit the second and final leg on their short road trip as they head to North Carolina to take on the Hurricanes.

Seattle was embarrassed by Tampa Bay on Tuesday 6 - 2. With Martin Jones in between the pipes, they were hoping for a solid game against a Tampa Bay squad that has been struggling, but that is not how things went.

Now they will be hard-pressed to pick up a dub against a tough Carolina team they has been grinding out victories all season long.

Carolina hasn't allowed a goal in their previous two games, shutting out the Detroit Red Wings and the New York Rangers. They have now won five of their last six, with their one loss being a fluke overtime game against the Anaheim Ducks.

Kraken vs. Hurricanes Best Picks

The over/under is an interesting line in this one. The Hurricanes continue to take part in low-scoring games; the under has hit in six of their last nine games.

Seattle has been extremely inconsistent with their goal-scoring, and are heavily dependent on Martin Jones. Jones has been lethal in the net; he is 12-5-2, allowing well under three goals a game.

So while both teams are capable of popping off 5+ goals, the smart money is one of the defenses to hold firm in this one.

Under 6 (-122)

Those looking for a crazy payout may wager on Carolina to record their third straight shutout.

Kraken vs. Hurricanes Prediction

Carolina is hot, and as great as Seattle has played this season, they have been struggling on this road trip.

This is the last leg of their four-game trip, and they are 1-2 to this point. So while they would no doubt love a split on the road before heading back west, the Hurricanes are a force on ice that not even the Kraken can stop. Bettors can expect the Carolina win streak to continue.
