Phoenix Suns vs Miami Heat key stats

The Suns have gone 8-4 at the start of the season, sitting in third place. They will come into this game on the back of a 114-97 loss against the Magic. They were outdone by the Magic's gritty, disciplined, and efficient performance. The Phoenix side were outclassed from inside the perimeter, as their opponents had more rebounds, points in the paint, and fewer fouls than them. They were quite inefficient, only converting 40% of his field goals and 31% from beyond the arc. It was an underwhelming performance by their superstar Devin Booker, who scored only 17 on the night.

Booker has been brilliant for the Suns once again this season, but the consistent performances of Mikal Bridges have gone under the radar. He was brilliant in their win against the Timberwolves, registering his first 30-point game of the season. It has been his all-round game that has impressed most. He has shot the ball very efficiently, going 55% from the floor and 44% from deep, averaging 15 a night.

The Heat have been quite inconsistent this season, going 6-7 thus far, but have picked up good form lately. They have won their last two games leading up to this one. They beat the Hornets convincingly 132-115. Max Strus led all scorers with a 31-piece. Strus had an incredible outing against the Hornets, scoring eight threes on 57% accuracy. He had put up a disappointing performance prior to the game, also against the Hornets, in which he went only 18% from deep.

Jimmy Butler’s name always pops up in conversations for Miami’s best player, but this season Bam Adebayo is giving Butler a tough run. Adebayo has been excellent this season, averaging almost a double-double with 18 points and nine rebounds per game. If Bam can keep his run going, the Miami side can easily extend their run of form.

Phoenix Suns vs Miami Heat Final Prediction

The hosts are favorites in this one. They have been in great form, winning their last two games. The cavalry alongside the star duo of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are putting in great displays and could lead them quite far. The Suns haven’t particularly flourished lately, losing three of their last five, and look disjointed without Chris Paul on the court.

Miami Heat: -1.5 (-108)
