UCLA Bruins vs. Arizona State Sun Devils: Match Details

The UCLA Bruins have been doing very well offensively as they have averaged 39.6 points on 500.6 total yards per game, heading into this matchup. They have an excellent quarterback in senior Dorian Thompson-Robinson. He is a threat throwing and passing the football. They also have an elite running back in senior Zach Charbonnet, who is averaging a massive 8.2 rushing yards per attempt with nine touchdowns against other Pac-12 Conference opponents.

Defensively, they are allowing 24.3 points per game on 360.5 total yards thus far. They have no issues getting to the quarterback with 19 team sacks, which are led by junior linebacker Laiatu Latu, who has 7.5 sacks up to this game. The opposing offenses are struggling to move the ball and are doing well and should get some three-and-outs.

The Arizona State Sun Devils have been a decent offensive team as they have put up 27.1 points per game heading into this matchup. They should have backup quarterback Trenton Bourguet get the start as he had a 300-yard passing game for the Sun Devils for the first time in their 26 games. They also have senior running back Xazavian Valladay in the backfield, who has recorded 10 touchdowns on the ground while averaging 5.5 yards per carry this season and has not seen his numbers drop against ranked teams.

Their defense is giving up 28.8 points per game as they are allowing 152 rushing yards per game, which is not going to get the job done often. They were not able to get in the backfield much last game against Colorado as they recorded a single sack and six tackles for loss throughout the game. However, they did record six pass deflections with an interception.

UCLA Bruins vs. Arizona State Sun Devils: Pick

Dorian Thompson-Robinson has been doing well on the ground. He is a dual-threat quarterback with 5.1 rushing yards per attempt and five rushing touchdowns. His 42.5 rushing yards does not seem to be too crazy as he did that in three of his last five games.

In their meeting last year, Thompson-Robinson finished with 19 carries for 95 yards, so he can really do well in that facet.

Pick: Dorian Thompson-Robinson Over 42.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

UCLA Bruins vs. Arizona State Sun Devils: Prediction

The UCLA Bruins have been doing extremely well and should be able to dominate in this game. They have the better program on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. The Bruins are going to be one of the top-10 program in the country, and this should be a huge game for Dorian Thompson-Robinson. UCLA has covered the spread in four of their last five games against the Sun Devils, so go with them to cover here as well.

Prediction: UCLA Bruins -10.5 (-110)
